Once you register and receive your January box, TestFlight will send you an email with an invitation to “test January.”

In order to accept the invitation, you’ll first download the TestFlight app from the App Store.

When you open the invitation email, tap the blue “View in TestFlight” button to view the January app.

This will take you to the TestFlight app (which looks very similar to the App Store interface).

Tap the “Accept” button and then “Install.”

When prompted, you’ll be able to tap “open” and get into the new January app!

Simply shake your phone to get a popup in the app that lets you report a bug, suggest an improvement, or ask a question. You can initiate the same popup by taking a screenshot. We look forward to your feedback!

Don’t start unpacking everything just yet! We don’t want you to lose anything; we’ll tell you when to unbox in the app. For now, just know you’ve got everything you need to apply your Continuous Glucose Monitor, including the CGM sensor, sensor covers, an application device, and an alcohol wipe.

During the first two weeks, we’ll set up your wearable equipment and undergo the process of “training” January’s AI to help us understand your unique physiology. This training period is essential for a truly personalized experience! For the following two weeks after training, you’ll continue working to hit specific daily targets around the way you eat, move, and recharge — the basis of your journey toward complete metabolic health.

We’d love for you to continue your January journey for many months or years to come! We’ll communicate with you as it gets closer to the end of your 1-month period about subscribing to an annual or monthly plan.

We like to refer to AI calibration as “training” — a 14-day “get-to-know-you” period between January’s AI system and your body. Once the AI learns your body’s physiological response to different foods and activities, we can estimate your glucose and provide personalized metabolic insights without a CGM. If you do not complete training, you will have to restart the process with a new CGM. We’ll help keep you on track with regular notifications!

Please refer them to our website, where they can sign up to join our waitlist. They’ll receive a link to our new app when it’s ready to download, and you’ll get a discount for referring them. So spread the word! We’d love to have anyone and everyone join us in the pursuit of optimal metabolic health.

The adhesive on your CGM is quite strong, and covering your CGM with our waterproof patch makes it less likely to fall off. However, in the unlikely event your CGM does fall off, we’ve got your back! Please reach out to us immediately at support@january.ai, and share some details about what happened. We’ll work to ship you a replacement ASAP.
